Shyanna has created a fantastical and theatrical parlour full of whimsical details and Marie Antoninette inspiration for her Sutherland House project.
We are LOVING all the special details, like secret doors, invisible panels and gorgeous French Baroque styling that brings a spectacular grandeur to the space.

The artwork adorned pivoting door transports guests to another time and place and Shaynna has selected clever, concealed hardware to create an elegant experience.

The concealed floor spring within the door provides an elegant opening and closing experience for a generously proportioned door and eliminates the need for hinges.

Combined with an integrated magnetic door stop the door can be held open by “unseen” forces!

Magical and surprising elements are in abundance for the Parlour Room at Sutherland House. At first glance the Parlour Room is a visual delight, but once you’re in the room the space begins to reveal its secrets.

Hidden panels conceal a unique serving hatch which connects through to the adjoining Ballroom. A beautiful stone serving panel mysteriously lowers at just the touch of a button, perfect for serving drinks AND surprising guests!

Shaynna has used an eclectic mix of lighting to create ambience and functionality in every room at Sutherland House and the Parlour Room is no exception.

The feature pendant lighting is an anchoring element for the design and Shaynna has utilized mirrored panels to multiply the effects.

Subtle, yet strategic task lighting has been selected for the kitchenette to ensure the atmosphere of the room is maintained.

The LED lighting is cleverly controlled via the Häfele Connect Mesh App so Shaynna and her guests can tailor the lighting to suit their needs at just a simple touch.
